This is my proof of editing page. This shows the screen shots that I took whilst I did some editing, my input into editing our actual film opening was not as much as the others in my group as I was fully in charge of our 'home-made' production company. This meant I had to film the sequence, put the footage where it needed to be in final cut pro, and edit it completely, putting and effect and text on it.
This shot shows that I had put in some of the clips into Final Cut Pro. I had help with this from Natasha and Charlie and I also helped put all of our shots in order, as we decided to change the order of some of the footage that we took, now that we could properly see it all, instead of flicking between our clips on the camera screen.
This screenshot shows how I had completed putting in all of the footage into Final Cut Pro, and had also moved down the sound bar of all of our clips. This was to get rid of all the sound we didn't want, so that when we would add our actual sound track there wouldn't be any background sound over the top.
This is one of the main things that I did in the editing process of our film opening. This screenshot shows where I used the blade tool to cut in half, one of the clips of Zoe walking with the doll, and in-between the middle of the clip I added in an extremely short clip of our supernatural figure. This was meant to be a flashback in Zoe's mind to show that she had seen the figure when she had been in the woods before.
Overall although I didn't take much part in the editing process of our actual film opening, this was because I was more in charge of filming and editing the production company, and as I had to re-film it a couple of times, it took up a lot of time and I ended up having to do a lot because of that. But from doing the bits of editing I have spoken about in this blog and also editing our home-made production company, it has made me feel fairly confident in using final cut pro and I have also learnt all the techniques that I have ended up using for both times I have edited.
