For our film opening, I was appointed to make the home-made production company. When everyone in our group made their own home-made production company as a practice we all agreed as a group that we would use my idea for our proper film opening. However when we did the practise, I encountered a problem. This was that when I first shot the blood dripping into the bath you could see the shadow of the hand which was dripping the blood from the top.
This time I made the clip better because I used a lamp up above over the plug hole, and I had someone drip the fake blood from over the light so that there wasn't any shadows casting down below, which could ruin the effect of the whole production company title sequence.
The screenshot above just shows that I had imported the clip I recorded of the blood dripping in the bath and inserted it in-between the clip of the actual production company and also the footage of our actual film opening.
This shows that I put an effect on to the clip that I recorded to give it more of a dark and gloomy feel to support the type of genre and the name of our production company. You can vaguely see to the right of the screenshot, the tool bar where the effects are which effect I chose, and all as a group we agreed that this looked the most effective.
This shows where I began to add text to our production company title sequence. Furthermore, as a group we all decided on using the name 'Horror House Productions'. Although this is very similar to our chosen famous production company name, we thought it suited well to our film opening as it broadens the horror genre which our sub horror genre fits into.
Using my deconstruction of typography research, I decided to use a 'sans-serif' font as this makes the types of productions produced by 'our' company seem more modern and less aged.
This final screenshot shows evidence in the top corner of where I manipulated the format of the title on our production company sequence. I decided to make the spaces in-between each letter slightly bigger to make the text as a whole look very secluded as well as seem much larger so that the title as a whole would stand out more to the viewer.
