Filming Evaluation- Charlotte Wilson

Filming Evaluation

Originally we was meant to meet on Sunday 20th December however this changed due to not having a tripod and bad weather forecast. It was hard for us all to find a date we could do due to it being christmas holidays so from this we decided to do in when we went back to school on Sunday 10th January. We met and 10am at Natasha house and then walked to the forest, we finished around 2.

What went well:
The weather was forecasted to rain a bit throughout the day luckily it didn't and it was sunny. We managed to get a range of shots and lots of footage so we wouldn't have to film anymore by not having enough time. The costumes and props also worked really well and effectively, as well as the location being in a forest it suited with our supernatural theme. In the image below you can see our group working  well together as a team and effectively.

This image shows us improvising as it was too dark and couldn't see the writing on the wall very well we used out flash to provide the light needed which worked well.

Problems encountered:
A problem encountered was that it was very cold still and from this we had to stop a few times so our actor could warm up as she was wearing short sleeve pyjamas. We also didn't realise how muddy it would be and so our actor couldn't just wear socks and had to wear trainers ruining the effect of the outfit so we had to do shots which cropped them out. As is was a public location we found people walking though from this we had to stop filming and wait for them to pass or re film. Some  parts of the location were difficult to walk though like going down the steps was steep and slipper, the climbing through barb wire we had to re film this a few times as our actor kept getting caught or coming out of character. This image shows it.

In this image you can see the muddy footpath and our actor in her costume where you can see shed be cold and the trainers which didn't work.

Even better if:
If we was do this before id make sure we was more prepared with the weather providing suitable footwear to work with the costume and long sleeve pyjamas.
Overall i am happy with how our filming went and what we have, i wouldn't change much apart from them 2 things. I am exited to start editing it all now.
