Practical task of photoshop editing:

Here is an example of the text that I edited via photoshop. 

I chose this text because even though it's quite plain and simple, it looks like something that may be used as a production company title.
Also, I put the first word in red because red represents danger and blood which then fits in with our genre of horror. 
When using this in our actual horror film production company title, I may put some serif on the text and blood dripping from the horror meaning that it will fit in more with the genre.

Why is this effective?

I think that this text is effective because even though it's simple, it uses block letters in which it makes it stand out. Also, the word 'horror' being in red stands out and lets the audience know its a horror production company, the red colour was used because red is used to represent death and danger. I think that this text conforms to representations of horror production companies because they normally use quite a simple and boring text type.
