Practical Task: Lighting Checks- Charlotte Wilson

Practical Task- Lighting Checks

Before we did our filming in our chosen location we had to make sure we had the right lighting as some areas may be darker then others or may not look right being a light colour as its a horror film.
Todo this we took pictures from areas in our location and then experimented with them to get the right lighting.
As you can see i made the second image slightly darker as its going towards the demonds layer and the darkness represents bad things.

In this picture i made it all darker as it is supernatural horror there shouldn't be many light colours.

In this i made the trees a lot darker so they stood out to the white and dark blue sky I think this made it a lot more effective for the opening shot.

I this final image i made the inside slightly darker as it is where the demond will watch the girl but i also made it so you can see the writing on the wall.

By doing this light checks we are able to see what shots may need to be a bit darker or lighter when filming and even editing within the editing process. This has made me more prepared for our day of filming and what to expect.
