Pratical of Sound- Charlotte Wilson

Pratical of Sound

I went onto Soundcloud and searched for some music which I thought my group could use in our horror film opening. I tried to look for songs which were similar to the ones in my deconstruction of sounds, which included children singing and the other of meaningless words.

The first piece of music I found was this-

What I like about it is how simply it is but still very powerful it’s a child tune being repeated continuously, which is very catchy as sounds like a children’s nursery rhyme or tune played in a child’s music box. I feel like this could be an option of a type of music we use. However there are no voices within the piece.

The second piece of music I found is sill along the lines of scary children, but in this case there is words within the song-

This consists of the sound of s chid/ baby crying and screaming as if its trying to say something or is being hurt or upset from seeing something scary like a ghost or Demond , I get this impression as every so often you hear swishes over the top of the crying indicating something is moving fast or in the presence of the child. I feel like this piece of music would work really well over the top of the other piece not throughout the whole thing but sometimes hearing the baby cry from time to time would make the music even more scarier
 adding more tension.
